The Christmas Lights Switch On event 2023, was held on Thursday 30th November 2023, 4.00pm to 6.30pm, with thanks to local businesses for their part sponsorship, support from local schools for their brilliant choir performances, together with the residents and public that came along to make the event a success. Rayleigh Town Council held the town's Christmas Lights Switch-On Event on Thursday 24th November 2022. In spite of the persistent rain, the turn-out was great as many residents came to see the stalls, enjoy the food, listen to the school choirs, meet BBC Essex and hear Joe Palmer perform.
