Chairman of Rayleigh Town Council - Councillor Mrs Carol Pavelin

    Cllr Mrs Carol Pavelin, Chairman

I feel honoured and privileged to have been elected as Chairman of Rayleigh Town Council for     2017/2018. I am looking forward to fulfilling my duties and meeting the residents of Rayleigh.

I have lived in Rayleigh all of my life and attended Glebe Primary school and Sweyne Park School. Accordingly, I am extremely passionate about Rayleigh and what happens in the area.

I work in education in Basildon. I have a daughter who is graduating this year from Reading University with a degree in Law.

I have been a Rayleigh Town Councillor since 2012 serving on many committees such as, King George V Playing field, Environment, Planning and Rayleigh Mount Committee. As a council we have achieved a great deal in the past year. I also served on Rochford District Council between 2015/2016 where I sat on the Planning and Review committee.

I very much enjoy being on Town Council and served as Vice Chairman for the year 2016/2017 which entailed me attending many engagements in that time and meeting some very inspiring people.

I am looking forward to this year’s engagements such as the Trinity Fair, Anglia in Bloom, Remembrance Parade and Christmas Lights Switch on, to name but a few events.
